Shopping List

  • 1 GR Chilli Con Carne Gourmet Sause Mix
  • 600g Diced Beef
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 Red Pepper, sliced
  • 1 Tin Tomatoes (400g)
  • 150g frozen sweetcorn
  • 150ml Crème Fraiche (Reduced Fat)
  • 200ml Water
  • 400g Pasta (Gordon recommends Rigatoni or Pappardelle)

Method

  1. Place the beef, onion, pepper, sweetcorn and tinned tomatoes into your slow cooker pot.
  2. Blend the chilli sauce mix with the water, stir thoroughly, then pour over the beef.
  3. Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on MEDIUM, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
  4. Boil your pasta according to the packet instructions.
  5. While the pasta cooks, add the crème fraîche to the slow cooker and stir through.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the pot (and a dash of pasta water if the sauce is too thick), then stir thoroughly.
  7. Remove the lid and stand for 5 minutes before serving.
